

Family Affair
Last night we pulled out seven boxes of movie-making stuff from our garage and got it all organized...more or less. We discovered we had an array of costumes, make-up, special effects kits and props that we've been gathering over the last decade. Our family has made a few short films, but it's been a few years since we've completed a project. When you have a household in which three of the four kids are "special needs," it can become difficult to stay on track with hobbies


Mermaids
Book 3 of our cozy mystery series releases next week, and the story includes a splash of mermaids (see what I did there?). Not only did my daughter go through a mermaid-love phase, but my husband and I had the chance to visit the mermaids of Weeki Wachee Springs a few years ago; all of this influenced my writing of Charlotte's newest adventure. I've always been impressed by people who feel so at home in the water and can move about underwater so effortlessly (or so it seems)
